Current Land Use Master Planning Development of Stadium District

A new 65,000 seat NFL stadium is under construction in the urban heart of Clark County, adjacent to the Las Vegas Strip and near McCarran International Airport. Because of the stadium, Clark County wishes to create a Stadium District Land Use Plan and Form-Based Design Overlay Ordinance to assist with the transition of the area surrounding the stadium, which currently consists of warehouse and industrial development, to an entertainment and transit-oriented district. This area is bifurcated by the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) and Interstate 15 and bounded by major roadways. Creating a Land Use Plan will promote cohesive development and allow for implementation of the plan recommendations before, during, and after the construction of the NFL stadium.
